Zip Code Verified Test Results API

Location-Verified Backflow Test Results

The Zip Code Verified Test Results API safeguards tester data by ensuring that only authorized third-party systems can access completed test results. Access is granted only after the requesting software verifies a valid ZIP code, confirming the company is permitted to receive test data for that completed test.

API Utilization

Execute API Call

Initiate a secure request to the designated endpoint, supplying your API key and time period parameters. In response, the API returns a list of serial numbers for all completed backflow tests that match the specified time period criteria—ensuring efficient access to relevant data without exposing full record details.

Confirm Access by Zip Code

To gain access to the full test result data, the company must submit the correct zip code for each serial number. This verification step confirms that the requesting party is authorized to access the test results, based on service area. By requiring zip code validation, the API protects tester data and ensures that only test results relevant to the third-party company making the request are shared.

Retrieve the applicable complete test data

Once a third-party system has successfully verified zip codes for the requested serial numbers, the API responds with the full, completed backflow test results associated with those entries. This ensures that only authorized data—specifically relevant to the requesting company—is retrieved. The returned dataset includes all necessary test details for each assembly, enabling seamless integration

Steps to Integrate

Remit Integration Fee

Covers access to the API endpoint and includes WTM Solutions’ developer time spent coordinating with your team during integration.

Deploy Integration & Verify Functionality

Once API credentials are issued and endpoints are understood, deploy the integration in your system. Then, run test calls to confirm data is being securely exchanged and functioning as expected.

Go Live

Enables authorized third-party systems to query completed test results by first validating the zip code for each serial number. This verification ensures that only relevant test data—tied specifically to your service area—is accessible, maintaining data privacy for testers while ensuring data relevance and accuracy for your platform
